Getting acquainted with the legal profession

Sometime in the foreseeable future, you'll receive your diploma. You worked hard to get it, but now what? The fact is that you cannot quite visualize what a work environment in a law firm actually is like. You are interested in the legal profession and in employment with a law firm, but does your ambition fall in line with the actual practice?

Through participation by its various offices, Monard –D'Hulst actively works to organize a variety of traineeships and programmes to help prospective candidates to acquire practical experience and decide on what direction to take for the future:

• summer traineeships for students are offered in co-operation with a number of universities
• within the context of the legal training programmes, one or more of our offices are regularly called upon to assist young students in becoming acquainted with the legal practice
• In 2009, a master traineeship was organized for the first time. Some universities provide brief articling programmes for every one of their students in their first Master.
